Chelsea In Fresh Robinho Bid

The Blues’ chase of the Brazilian has been well-documented over the summer but recent reports had seemed to suggest that Robinho would be staying in the Spanish capital.
Yet despite this the Stamford Bridge side have reportedly upped their offer for Robinho and have made a formal bid of £23.6 million to Madrid.
The Spanish champions have yet to respond although they have made it clear they want Robinho to stay, a stance that will have only hardened after they failed to land Cristiano Ronaldo, despite spending a summer trying to lure the Portugese to the Bernabeu. Madrid are also believed to want at least £35 million for the Brazilian, which would mean Chelsea’s offer falls well short of their asking price.
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is reportedly a big admirer of Robinho and is keen to bring the Brazilian to West London. The club have already signed Jose Bosingwa and Deco this summer as they attempt to improve on the disappointment of last season which saw them end the campaign as runners up in the Premier League, Champions League and Carling Cup.
