I Think Ronaldo Will Stay - Lippi

Azzuri coach Marcello Lippi offered his views on the Ronaldo transfer saga, revealing to La Gazzetta dello Sport that he believes the Portuguese will remain at Old Trafford.
The veteran 60 year old Italian appears to side with Sir Alex Ferguson’s stance to hang on to the free-scoring winger as he stated that money isn’t everything and that the right decision would be for Ronaldo to stay on in England.
“The €100 million Real Madrid are offering is a crazy figure but some things cannot be bought with money,” Lippi said to the Italian paper in the interview.
Ferguson is very obstinate on this issue but I believe that it is the correct decision from a technical viewpoint as I don’t think a player should have the final say. I think Ronaldo will stay in Manchester,” he continued.
Lippi also added that based on Portugal’s performance in the recently concluded European Championships in Austria/Switzereland, Ronaldo is not the kind of player capable of winning a major tournament on his own.
