Ivanovic Persuaded By Milan - Report

Gazzetta report today in Italy, that AC Milan were in discussions yesterday with Bratislav Ivanovic in London, and that Chelsea’s Serbian defender has asked Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari for permission to move to the Serie A club.

According to Gazzetta, Ivanovic has been told he must await a decision from chief executive Peter Kenyon, who returns to Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Juventus had earlier been linked with Ivanovic, but Milan suddenly emerged as potential buyers, following an injury in pre-season to Alessandro Nesta, ands they now look likely to hijack Juve’s proposed deal.
Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti is anxious to bolster his depleted defence.
Ivanovic has not yet made his competitive debut for Chelsea since arriving in a 13million euro deal in January, and wants first-team football.
It is speculated that while Chelsea could be prepared to take a loss on the player, Milan are likely to propose a one-year loan with an option to buy at the end of that period.
